Job Description
Build what keeps the world moving
You’re the kind of machinist who sees a blueprint, decodes the GD&T, and already knows how to fixture, program‑edit, and cut a flawless first article. If that sounds like you, TekPro’s partner—a leading aerospace / defense power transmission manufacturer—wants you in their 150,000 sq. ft., air‑conditioned facility. We have two openings.
What success looks like
- In your first weeks, you’ll plan jobs using work orders, engineering and quality plans, materials and specs, OP. drawing details, machining parameters, and GD&T.
- You’ll set up CNC lathes with three‑ and four‑jaw chucks, stage tools / attachments, and load stock into the feed mechanism.
- First‑run parts are verified against OP. drawing and the quality plan; you make precise offset and program edits to lock in capability.
- You’ll confidently run drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations while monitoring dimensions.
- When something drifts, you diagnose root causes, reprogram controls, replace worn tools, and keep the process stable.
- Safety and QA procedures are second nature; you document production / quality logs and communicate cleanly at shift handoff.
- Preventive maintenance happens on schedule; OEM instructions guide repair requests and troubleshooting.
- You embrace learning—training and technical publications help you add value beyond your work center.
