Position Overview :
The Inside Sales representative plays a central role in supporting Horwitzs Service Division by managing repair sales, customer communication, and technician coordination. This role functions as a bridge between field operations and the client, ensuring timely quoting, follow-through, and customer satisfaction. The position supports the company's operational and financial success while reflecting Horwitzs core values : Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do, and Curious.
Key Responsibilities :
These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive :
- Prepare detailed proposals for service repairs or equipment replacements in collaboration with field technicians.
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of service repairs including scheduling, materials procurement, delivery tracking, and communication with field staff.
- Manage purchasing, vendor follow-up, delivery timelines, and work completion tracking.
- Review and approve customer invoices for service work; follow up directly with customers regarding payments or discrepancies.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with service clients by offering prompt, reliable, and technically informed support.
- Maintain accurate records of open jobs, customer interactions, and quotes using internal software platforms.
- Coordinate with internal service teams (dispatch, billing, field techs) to ensure seamless execution of work.
- Provide responsive communication via email and phone to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support service growth initiatives by identifying recurring customer needs or upselling opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Education :
Skills and Abilities :
Strong communication skills and professionalism in both written and verbal formats.High customer service orientation with a proactive problem-solving approach.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively.Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to read mechanical equipment descriptions and interpret technician recommendations.Familiarity with service software (e.g., COINS, Salesforce, or similar platforms) is a plus.No travel is expected; the position is based in the service office with consistent communication to field personnel.Education & Experience :
Associate degree in business, technical services, or related field preferred.3+ years of experience in customer service, service coordination, or inside sales role.Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical services is highly preferred.Knowledge of quoting, parts sourcing, or repair workflows in the construction industry is a plus.Why Horwitz?
