Lighting Designer

La Mirada, CA

Job Duties :

  • Analyze venue drawings to identify lighting systems for given site.
  • Work with internal account managers and sales personnel to assess client’s expectations.
  • When drawings are not provided, may visit project site to determine the client needs.
  • Design lighting plan for the site according to customer expectations and budget.
  • Work with internal team on availability and quality of lighting fixtures available.
  • May work onsite to oversee the installation of lighting and electrical systems.
  • May create design ideas for clients upon request when no specifications have been provided.

Requirements :

  • Proficient in CAD based design systems, Vector Works preferred.
  • Knowledge of Electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of Lighting fixtures and support parameters.
  • Previous experience in Entertainment industry preferred.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with employees and clients and contractors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to speak and write English.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high -volume environment with

    • emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

  • Degree in Lighting design or electrical engineering
