Position Summary : We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Tech Engineer II - Tech Engineering. The Analytics Systems Engineer / Administrator is responsible for administering, supporting, governing and maintaining BI Systems in the Enterprise Data Warehouse group. This role requires a thorough understanding of client-server application architecture and IT system integration fundamentals (including AD, Network, Storage, Database, etc.). The role will create, support, and enhance custom coded automated tasks and routines and will support multiple BI developments and operations teams as well as a large and diverse application user community.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer system experience
- Install, configure, manage and execute upgrades of client-server applications (ex. BusinessObjects, Tableau, Metric Insights, etc.)
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery strategy and mechanisms
- Performance tune Intelligent Server, and Web Server for best results
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for BusinessObjects, Tableau and other client-server application environments
- Maintain onboarding documents and provide mass broadcasts / onboarding / coaching for new BI employees and contractors
- Provide regular status reports to management
- Perform user administration, including creation of users and groups, removing inactive users, and conducting license audits to ensure adherence to licensing requirements
- Write and maintain system administration process documents
- Monitor and Manage Helpdesk queues within stipulated SLAs

Contribute to process improvement for prevention / reduction in defects in application uptime and performanceWork with other Infrastructure teams seamlessly as necessary (DBA, Server, Storage, Security, etc.)Participate in meetings with various entities to continuously upgrade functional and provide technical expertise for deliver solutions / integrationsResponsible for Version control / Content lifecycle management between the various systems / environmentsMaintain confidentiality at all times when working with sensitive material and exhibit a high degree of professionalismMinimum Qualifications
Typically requires 7 or more years of experience and BA / BS degree.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree RequiredMinimum experience of 8 years working with various BI systemsStrong SQL / Database fundamentalsTableau Administration Experience (TSM, Data Management, Resource Monitoring, Content Migration, etc.)Business Objects Architecture / Administration experience a must (4.x+)Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with a knack for troubleshooting under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of an organizationAbility to work under little or no supervisionAPOS Suite of Products nice to haveUNIX Administration knowledgeExperience with virtualization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, VMware, etc.)Note : Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with New York state Salary Transparency laws. The salary range for the role is $97,589.96 - $162,649.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and hospital need. The stated range does not include bonuses, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
