• Work on A 4 West Adult Med Surg unit, 4th Floor Elevator A
• 34-bed medical surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
• Day shift patient ratios : 1 : 4-6 patients
• Night shift patient ratios : 1 : 5-7 patients
• Must have telemetry rhythm interpretation capabilities
• Provide care for medical surgical level patients and alert appropriate personnel when acuity changes
• Perform typical procedures including IV fluids, tube feeds, PEG feedings, and IV antibiotics
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Required certification : BLS
• Preferred certification : ACLS
• May float to other medical surgical units or occasionally to ED holding pod
• Dress code : Navy blue scrubs
• Attend huddles at 6 : 50 AM for day shift or 6 : 50 PM for night shift
• Must clock in no earlier than 6 : 38 AM or 6 : 38 PM depending on shift
• Must clock out and in for meal breaks
• Work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period
• Must demonstrate critical thinking, time management, and strong communication skills
