The Operational Technology Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of our various consulting and professional services business, providing OT engineering advisory on various electric utility projects. This individual may also be assigned to consulting projects as a Key Contributor and as the Lead Consultant rendering advice to client companies.
Responsibilities include :
- Participate in professional services / consulting projects with electric utilities domestic and international.
- Support customer interactions including technical discussions, hands on support, etc.
- Develop presentation and / or consulting collateral.
- Making technical presentations to customers.
- Other technical and engineering duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering; or related fieldExperience with operational technology implementation and deployments for control room operations with a minimum of 2 years of recent experienceOrganization and prioritization skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and risks within specified timeframesStrong verbal and written communication skills with capacity to tailor explanations and solutions to all audience typesExperience independently troubleshooting and addressing technical problemsKnowledge of specific real-time control room applications, such as SCADA, ADMS, OMS, EMS, GMS, GIS, substation automation, protection, or power system analysisOSI monarch or SpectraGE / ALSTOMGE PowerOnABB Network ManagerGE e-terraplatform or WebFGABBSiemens SpectrumNERC / CIP control center systems, especially SCADAProgramming experience in Python, C, C++, or similar and familiarity with business intelligence applications, SQL, and GIS / CAD is preferredAvailability to travel domestically and internationally. Estimated travel will range from 25% to 50%Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all team members
