Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (New York healthcare job) Estimated Weekly Pay : $2100-$2250 Assignment Length : 4 weeks (with potential extension) Start Date : October 16, 2025 End Date : November 16, 2025 Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Travel RN Unit : R4 Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Cardiac Stepdown Float Requirement : Yes, to appropriate units as part of the Resource Float team Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holidays as needed Documentation System : EPIC (required) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York RN license (or proof of application with applied date) Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care unit (PCU) At least 1 year of telemetry (tele) nursing experience Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start date) EPIC charting experience within the past 2 years (required) Ability to float to similar units as needed Reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation not available) Professional appearance and adherence to dress code (navy blue or white scrubs, closed-toe nonskid shoes, minimal jewelry, no artificial nails, groomed hair, no beard) Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to adults with acute cardiac and progressive care needs, including acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, post-cardiac catheterization, and other complex cardiac conditions Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac monitoring, insulin drips, cardiac drips, and post-procedure care Initiate IVs, perform venipuncture, and conduct EKGs as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including respiratory and anesthesia support (available 24 / 7) Document all patient care and interventions accurately in EPIC Float to other appropriate units as assigned and participate as part of the Resource Float team Participate in orientation (1-2 days) and ongoing unit education Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Plattsburgh, NY and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
