Ground Worker Opportunity

Are you an experienced Ground Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity with a growing company? Chop N Chip Tree Services is seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker to join our team. This is a physically demanding role, but if you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a tight-knit team, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain tools and equipment for optimal performance and safety.
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Safely operate wood chippers, chainsaws, and other equipment.
  • Assist with tree removal and pruning, supporting climbers with rigging and lifting tasks.
  • Occasionally perform basic climbing or bucket truck work, as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Respond to emergency calls for storm damage cleanup and other urgent situations, including nights and weekends when required.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the tree care industry.
  • Familiarity with basic tree service equipment, including chainsaws and wood chippers.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly and work in physically demanding conditions, including heat, cold, and uneven terrain.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).

  • Regular lifting, bending, and carrying of heavy equipment and tree debris.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency storm response, including nights and weekends.
