Position Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and creative Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating and treating children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine and gross motor difficulties, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Employee will evaluate and treat children and young adults with acute and chronic occupational therapy needs, considering all client factors, performance skills, performance patterns, and contexts / environments in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Employee will supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants or interns, if applicable
  • Employee will treat a variety of diagnosis and needs including but not limited to neurological, neuromuscular, developmental delay, pervasive disorders, mental health disorders / needs, cognitive impairments, and orthopedic injuries in order to promote and or restore function in children and adults
  • Employee will create plan of care to achieve written short term and long-term goals in order to facilitate increased participation and independence with meaningful daily occupations including activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, rest and sleep, education, work, play, leisure, and social participation
  • Employee will collect data and clearly document response to intervention, including collect data, prepare charts, record clinical progress notes, and perform other supporting duties
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Document treatment sessions, progress, and goals clearly and timely
  • Participate in team meetings, in-services, and continuing education

Qualifications :

  • Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas
  • NBCOT Certification
  • Pediatric experience preferred (new grads welcome to apply)
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Passion for working with children and their families
