Position Title : Control Center Operations Trainer
Location : Social Security Administration HQ, Baltimore, MD
Shifts : CCO Trainer staff a M-F; 16 hour / day post with multiple shifts
Security Clearance Level : NACI / SSA Suitability Determination
Duties and Responsibilities
The Control Center Operations Trainer's duties include the following :
Conduct on-the-job (OJT) training of new control center personnelAssist and provide training to incumbent control center staff in coordination with the CC Manager (CCM)Coordinate established training from all trainers, CC Supervisors, and the CCMCommunicate deficiencies in performance of staff with the CCM and identify corrective trainingProvide updates of trainings to the COR / ACOR upon requestMaintain a record of trainings conducted and report discrepancies to the CCMAs requested by the CCM, update and maintain the Control Center Operations Manual, including SOPSFill-in for control center supervisors in case of emergenciesProvide Communications Operator Training / InstructionProvide Systems Operator Training / InstructionEnsure contract personnel complete Government designated FEMA coursesProvide oversight for new contractor personnel during standalone training periodsDuring the transition period, receive 24 hours of SSA-specific, Government provided systems trainingKnowledge and Qualifications
A United States citizen;Have either a high school diploma or General Equivalency DiplomaHave a minimum of two years of experience working in a control center type environment within the past five yearsHas an Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Trainer certification and then maintains all re-certification requirementsHave practical / current knowledge of control center operations and is currently performing as a CCO including a thorough knowledge of all operating systems within the control centers, adherence to all government and contractor policies and procedures, an outstanding attendance record, and an impeccable ability to guide and instruct both new employees, and current operators on the roles and responsivities for each control center postHave the ability to successfully pass the screening for illegal drugsKnowledge and experience providing quality customer service to Government employees, contractors, and / or visitors.
