Job Overview
As a Certified Nursing Associate (CNA), you will provide essential support in patient care, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, mobility, elimination, and safety in accordance with the directives of the Charge Nurse and established guidelines. Your responsibilities will include :
Documenting patient information accurately in their recordsCompleting a personal belongings sheet upon patient admission and recording vital statisticsOrienting new residents to the facility and ensuring all necessary procedures are followedPromptly responding to resident needs and call lightsMonitoring and reporting vital signs and weight to the Charge NurseApplying all necessary medical devices and specialty care items per physician ordersMaintaining appropriate supplies and equipment in the unitParticipating in training and development activities to enhance your skillsBuilding effective relationships with team members and managementQualifications
High school diploma preferred, but not mandatoryActive CNA certification in your stateCPR certification required or willingness to obtain within six monthsExperience in long-term care is preferredStrong communication skills to engage effectively with patients and colleaguesAbility to manage your time efficiently and organize work tasksPhysical capability to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift and transfer patients weighing over 200 lbs with proper techniquesManual dexterity and the ability to document in written formGood visual acuity, including color recognitionCompensation : Pay range is $16.08 - $25.24 per hour.
