Job Description

Position Overview

Our client is seeking experienced Information Assurance (IA) Leads to provide technical leadership and oversight in support of an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The IA Leads will serve as the primary on-site technical points of contact for all IA-related tasks and deliverables, ensuring the successful execution of contract requirements at their assigned locations.

Reporting to the Technical Lead and Program Manager, the IA Leads will be responsible for the implementation, integration, and sustainment of secure architectures and systems, ensuring compliance with applicable IC and DoD cybersecurity standards.

Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

Maintain responsibility for all aspects of Information Assurance contract execution at the assigned location in support of the Technical Lead and Program Manager.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and direction to client employees, subcontractors, and consultants regarding IA operations, technical execution, and program policies.
Support the development and presentation of monthly or quarterly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) for government customers and corporate leadership.
Lead the design, development, implementation, and integration of IA architectures, systems, and components.
Ensure that all Information Systems (IS) are designed, developed, and implemented to be both functional and secure, including those operating across multiple classification levels or network protections.
Oversee IA system or network designs that encompass complex enterprise environments and cross-domain data protections.
Provide expert-level IT security engineering and integration services, including :
Conducting technical security assessments
Defining system security requirements
Designing security architectures
Implementing detailed security controls and countermeasures
Evaluating the effectiveness of implemented information protection measures
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to government stakeholders, interpreting and applying IC and DoD IA policy and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and managing teams of professional technical personnel.

In-depth knowledge of IA systems security engineering, Certification and Accreditation processes, ICD 503 policies, and NIST guidance.

Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior government officials and mission stakeholders.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage complex programs across multiple functional areas.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Independent, proactive, and professional with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

High level of discretion and professional confidentiality.

Willingness to work outside standard office hours as mission requirements dictate.

Ability to travel as required.

Clearance Requirement

Active TS / SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Information Assurance Systems Architect and Engineer (IASAE) equivalent roles such as Information Systems Security Engineer, IA Engineer, Systems Security Engineer, or IA Architect will also be considered.

Demonstrated recent experience supporting IC, DoD, or other U.S. Government organizations in IA, IT, or Information Security roles.

Direct experience collaborating with senior government managers on IA policy, strategy, and implementation issues.

Required Certifications (one of the following)

CISSP ISSEP (Information Systems Security Engineering Professional)

CISSP ISSAP (Information Systems Security Architecture Professional)
