About The Position

• Previous charge experience
• Patient ratio experience of 2
• Charting system experience with Epic

Description :

The position involves providing care to adult critical patients aged 18 and over.

Patients typically present with medical / surgical, neurological, and cardiac diagnoses.

A higher level of specialized care is required for the treatment of various complications.

The unit has bedside and remote telemetry capabilities for all ICU beds.

Administration responsibilities include cardiac drips, intensive insulin drips, and continuous sedation and analgesia drips.

Nutritional support through TPN and tube feedings is also part of the duties.

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) may be performed.

Additional responsibilities may include pronation of patients with acute respiratory complications.

The role requires effective management of emergency situations and patient comfort.

Interdisciplinary support includes therapy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Candidates should possess strong skills in IV and central line management.

Ventilator management expertise is essential.

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in infection prevention and dysrhythmia interpretation.

Availability for weekend shifts is a requirement.

This position requires a proactive and compassionate approach to patient care.

Flexibility to float between units may be necessary during the assignment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working in an interdisciplinary team.

Candidates must be committed to maintaining a high standard of care within the unit.
