job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerforms radiographic procedures to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications. Transfers patients for examinations and assists with the x-ray examination process. Responsible for appropriate operation of all X-Ray Imaging and related equipment. Educates, positions, immobilizes and performs X-Ray procedures. Coordinates X-Ray examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care. Submits required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation. Evaluates image quality appropriately. Communicates openly and accurately with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership. Utilizes, charges, and maintains department supplies appropriately. Practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies. Handles multiple tasks / projects and meets deadlines. Safely performs X-Ray procedures including patient transfer. Prepares and administers contrast according to Radiologist protocol. Follows Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety. Supervises and evaluates Student Radiographers in the clinical setting. Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). CT certification. BLS - American Heart Association.
