Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Manager role in Cherokee, IA . Key Responsibilities :

Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Troubleshoot and repair machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility infrastructure.

Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and spare parts inventory to ensure equipment reliability.

Collaborate with production leadership to prioritize repairs and projects that support operational goals.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and company standards.

Prepare and manage departmental budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Lead continuous improvement projects focused on equipment performance and process reliability.

Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and regulatory requirements.

Act as a key contributor to capital project planning, equipment upgrades, and facility expansions.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, and manage multiple projects.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
