Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Commercial Litigation Paralegal
Overview :
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting attorneys through all phases of the litigation process, from case inception through trial and appeal, in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role based in Garden City.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist attorneys with comprehensive case preparation.
- Draft, review, and proofread pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence.
- Conduct factual and legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Manage and analyze large volumes of documents, including e-discovery.
- Coordinate and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Maintain and track critical deadlines, court filings, and case calendars.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare trial binders, witness files, and exhibits for court proceedings.
Requirements : Education
Bachelor’s degree and / or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.Experiences
3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with a preference for commercial litigation.Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.Experience with cite-checking is required; appeals experience is a significant plus.Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and case management software.Experience managing people or providing paralegal administrative oversight is highly desirable.Other
Candidates must reside on Long Island for the Garden City location.Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Compensation and Benefits :
Salary
$75,000 - $85,000 per year, with bonus eligibility.Benefits
