Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med / Surg Tele position requiring strong skills with cardiac drips and dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a 42-bed Cardio / Neurovascular Med Surg / Tele unit in a hospital setting
  • Day shifts available, 4x12 hour schedule from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 6 with high-acuity cases
  • Block booking is available with every other weekend required
  • Epic EMR is used
  • Proficiency with Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone drips required
  • Must comply with a 90-mile radius rule; local candidates will not be considered
  • All compliance requirements must be met one week prior to start date
  • Two references are required for consideration
  • Navy scrubs or navy bottoms with white tops must be worn
  • All contract assignments end on a Tuesday to align with the facility's pay period
  • Online training modules required prior to start

    • Requirements

  • Active AL or compact RN license in good standing required
  • 1-2 years of strong Med / Surg experience required with high-acuity cases
  • Experience with cardiac drips and dysrhythmias required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but candidates with substantial experience may be considered
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccination required or valid medical / religious exemption
  • Experience in large healthcare facilities preferred
