Job Description
The Oncology Nurse evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for the oncology patient. The RN provides a range of patient care, including IV lines, responsible for drawing blood via peripheral site, port-a-caths, and PICC’s, administration of chemotherapy, mixing and preparing chemotherapy drugs under supervision and training of the pharmacist, blood components, O2 set ups, monitoring vital signs and supportive care. The RN needs to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within their field. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, administers quality control, and updates patient charts and charges. Notifies physician of change in patient conditions.
Schedule : Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays. Hours : 7 : 45 am - 4 : 15 pm
