Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student - Data Analytics for John Deere Ag Engineering located in Ames, IA, you will :
Predict product performance using statistical analysis
Assess lab and field event data for impact to product reliability
Develop common Reliability modeling tools
Analyze and report findings from field demonstration
Clean, organize, and structure data for use in business visualization tools
Create or improve existing reports and dashboards
Work in an Agile-based environment
This position is not available to students on immigration visas
What Skills You Need
Must be able to commute to the work location daily
Available to work 10 - 20 hours / week during the academic session
Available to work up to 40 hours / week onsite during academic breaks
Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics or Engineering or similar areas of study may also apply
Graduation date of December 2026 or later
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
What Makes You Standout
Coursework in Reliability, Statistics, Data Visualization
Familiarity with AI companion engineering for prompts in data analytics and visualization using tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar platform
Experience with Databricks, GitHub, Google Colab or similar applications
Data analytics experience (Python, R, SQL, Tableau / Power BI)
Experience in Statistical Modeling : clustering, classification, supervised / unsupervised machine learning, regression
Experience in Statistical Modeling : classical machine learning and deep learning (natural language processing)
Experience with Data Engineering and / or MLOps
