Description :
Responsible for serving food and beverages to guests at venue for catering events. Their duties include greeting guests, bringing them the correct drinks and dishes, refilling their beverages as needed, replenishing buffets, and facilitating a smooth service.

Set up Necessary station(s) and perform assigned side workProvides immediate attention to all members / guests upon seatingAssembles food on tray or Buffett from each station as necessaryServes meals; places dishes by courses in front of each person (if applicable)Checks back to ensure member / guest satisfaction; replenishes water, bar beverage, silverware and butter as necessaryRemoves soiled dishesSuggests and serves coffee after Dinner Service in an elegant mannerKeeps tables, venue, coffee / beverage and Bus station areas cleanAdvise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occurPerform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by managerAttends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Banquet ManagerProtects establishment and Members / Guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.Helps Members / Guests select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording Members / Guests choices and identifying Members / Guests special dietary needs and special requests.Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.Serves orders by picking up and delivering Members / Guests choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.Responds to additional Members / Guests requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.Perform other tasks as requested.Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent.At least two years related experience required.Servsafe CertificationRBS Training certificationPhysical Requirements :Prolonged periods of standingMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Frequent bending, stooping, pulling / pushing.
