Payroll Specialist

We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail to review, compile and submit correct data for the weekly payroll process for salary and hourly personal. Assist employees and managers with payroll related items. Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task multiple steps at a time for the payroll functions. Assist employees and managers in multiple departments to ensure accuracy and timely submission of payroll.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Process Weekly Payroll.
  • Process levies and garnishments.
  • Accurate Data Entry.
  • Monitor and maintain leave and applicable records to include Vacation, PTO, Bereavement, Jury Duty etc.
  • Set up tax, benefits, pay, and deduction codes.
  • Work with Accounting Department to provide payroll information for financial reporting.
  • Effectively communicate payroll items to employees of I Supply Co.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and associated records.
  • Check all payroll submitted items accurately and effectively to identify mistakes and correct in a timely manner.
  • Audit all payroll duties performed by Vensure / One Source to ensure accuracy (new hires, terminations, deductions, garnishments, etc.).
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • File and scan personnel documents.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must have High School Diploma
  • Associates Degree Preferred
  • 2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
  • Speak effectively with all employees and associates
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding in a variety of situations.
  • Must be able to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations to achieve company goals
  • Physical Requirements :

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly may be required to walk long distances within a warehouse that has a freezer, refrigerated, and dry goods section.
  • May be exposed to odor, dust, dirt, and fluctuating temperatures.
  • May lift up to 25 lbs. in office setting

  • Required Education and Experience :

  • Must have High School Diploma
  • Associates Degree Preferred with at least 2 years of experience
  • Preference to a Certified Payroll Professional through American Payroll Association
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
  • Speak effectively with all employees and associates
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding in a variety of situations.
  • Must be able to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations to achieve company goals
