If so, Varsity Driveaway is hiring Driver Dispatchers to become a part of our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate should have a very strong work ethic with an excellent attendance record, and possess strong multi-tasking and organizational capabilities. Attention to detail is a must, along with superior leadership and communication skills. The Driver Dispatcher will fully assist our independent contract drivers as they relocate trucks / assets across the country for our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Communicate with drivers through multiple forms of media : text, phone, email, etc.
• Strategically plan loads and direct drivers on loads while minimizing cost to the driver and ensuring on time delivery to the customer.
• Provide daily and accurate updates of location and ETA’s to colleagues so that we provide a top tier level of communication to our drivers and customers.
• Work with drivers to make sure all safety and compliance measures are followed under the standards set forward by the DOT / FMCSA
• Negotiate with drivers on specific lanes that ensure the drivers are profitable as well as the company.
• Ensure at the end of each delivery all required paperwork is accurately submitted and entered into the transportation management system, thus taking ownership that the driver is paid timely and accurately, and the load is ready for invoicing.
• Work with a growing and thriving Driveaway company to help maintain a great culture for our office staff, drivers, and customers.
• Build great relationships with multiple personalities across our driver base and help cultivate a driver first culture.
