Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Specialist

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Central Islip, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a food and beverage distribution location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the site. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all personnel and visitors. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, reliability, and integrity are valued every day.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Sat 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the food and beverage location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and / or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and coordinating with Allied Universal and client contacts as required.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
