Job Title : Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1

Profession : Behavioral Healthcare Provider

Specialty : Staff Augmentation

Duration : 52 weeks

Shift : Evening

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum experience based on relevant qualifications

License : Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or Licensed Registered Nurse with relevant education and certification

Certifications : Completion of continuing professional education for license renewal

Description :

The Behavioral Healthcare Provider develops, coordinates, implements, and provides interdisciplinary services related to behavioral and biomedical science.

This role involves the application of knowledge and techniques to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The provider performs psychosocial interventions with clients.

Individual, family, and group interventions, including counseling and education of clients, are part of this role.

Intervention goals and objectives are developed to educate and resolve clients' issues.

Participation in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment goals and objectives is required.

Interviews with clients and their families are conducted to establish case goals and objectives.

Clients are assessed to determine specific intervention techniques and monitored for responses to treatment.

Feedback on the effectiveness of prescribed treatments is provided.

Lower-level behavioral healthcare provider cases and clients' progress from treatment plans are evaluated.

Necessary documentation to satisfy federal, state, and local agency requirements is maintained.

Data such as social histories, admission / aftercare summaries, and court documents are prepared.

The provider serves on treatment and program development teams.

Training meetings, interdepartmental meetings, and court hearings must be attended.

A working relationship with other facilities, agencies, and support services is established and maintained.

Knowledge of departmental regulations, policies, and procedures is important.

The ability to counsel on sensitive matters is essential.

Flexibility in problem-solving with various variables is required.

Social work theories, principles, and techniques must be applied effectively.
