Duties of the Speech Pathologist and Audiologist include, but are not limited :
1. Provide input into the development of a plan of treatment.
2. Conduct appropriate speech and audiological testing.
3. Plan, implement and evaluate communication programs.
4. Discuss programs / clients progress with physician.
5. Instruct family and health team personnel in methods of speech and language improvements.
6. Document initial evaluation and on-going assessment according to Agency procedures.
7. Participate in team conferences and discharge planning activities.
8. Serve as a member of ad hoc committees.
9. Conducts self in professional manner at all times in all situations.
10. Provides Agency with a) required license or certificate and b) necessary information to be able to verify experience.
11. Accepts only those assignments for which she / he is qualified.
12. Complies with all Agency policies and procedures.
13. Communicates with Agency about any problems or concerns.
14. Complies with state regulatory acts.
1. Has been granted a certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology or audiology by the American Speech and Hearing Association; or meets the equivalent education requirements and work experience necessary for such certification
2. Has completed academic and practical requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised work experience require for certification.
3. Licensed by the State of Florida.
4. Minimum of two years experience in home health experience as a Speech Pathology / Audiology Therapist and one year supervisory experience.
