Project Manager III
The Project Manager III supports the NIH Microsoft Cyber Resiliency Program, including the enterprise deployment of Microsoft Defender Antivirus (MDAV), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), and the Intune endpoint management workstream. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating complex technical activities, managing schedules and deliverables, tracking issues through ServiceNow, and serving as a key liaison between program leadership, technical teams, and NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs).
This role requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of endpoint management modernization, and experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in federal IT environments.

Essential Requirements
The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Public Trust level.
5+ years of project management experience within large-scale IT or cybersecurity modernization programs, including endpoint security or device management initiatives.
Hands-on experience managing projects in ServiceNow, including task tracking, incident / change coordination, and reporting.
Proven experience leading Microsoft Intune or enterprise endpoint management work streams.
Strong communication skills with experience managing stakeholders across technical and executive levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Power BI, Teams, and SharePoint for reporting and collaboration.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
Experience supporting federal IT programs, ideally NIH, HHS, or similar agencies is preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center, Defender for Endpoint, Intune, MECM, and hybrid AD / AAD environments is preferred.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages daily operations and scheduling for multiple technical work streams, including Microsoft Defender deployment, Intune onboarding, and related architecture and documentation efforts.
Leads the Intune work stream, coordinating with endpoint engineering teams to support device enrollment, configuration policy implementation, RBAC model development, and legacy tool transition efforts.
Develops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure alignment with the SOW, including reporting deliverables, onboarding timelines, and migration objectives.
Acts as the primary point of contact for NIH stakeholders, including OCIO, CIT IT Support Services, and individual IC IT leads.
Facilitates recurring status meetings and working sessions to review progress, address issues, and ensure coordinated delivery across multiple NIH stakeholders.
Clearly communicates technical milestones, risks, and decisions to both technical teams and senior leadership.
Manages project tasks, incidents, and change requests using ServiceNow, ensuring proper categorization, assignment, and timely resolution.
Monitors ticket trends and collaborate with support teams to identify systemic issues, coordinate remediation, and ensure operational continuity during Defender and Intune migrations.
Maintains accurate records of issues, decisions, and action items for leadership reporting.
Oversees development of dashboards and status reports (e.g., in Power BI) to provide leadership visibility into onboarding progress, compliance metrics, and endpoint health.
Ensures timely delivery of all contractual deliverables, including deployment plans, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and compliance reports.
Supports knowledge transfer activities, including creation of project documentation, briefings, and training materials for NIH stakeholders.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent work experience. Minimum of five plus (5+) years of project management experience within large-scale IT or cybersecurity modernization programs, including endpoint security or device management initiatives.

The estimated pay range for this role is $131K to $150K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
