ICU RN Travel Job Details Location : Asheville, North Carolina 28801 Healthcare Setting : Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit (NTICU), 20 beds Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630 - $1750 Floating : May float to MICU, NSICU, CICU, CVICU, K7 PCU, G7 PCU, 4H CVPC Dress Code : Navy blue top and bottom or navy bottom with white top ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (trauma ICU or surgical ICU background required) Experience with critical care equipment : Camino ICP, CRRT, EVD, wound vacs, arterial / CVC lines Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) certification preferred Strong teamwork and communication skills ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Cerner EMR Perform and assist with procedures such as central line, chest tube, arterial line insertions, and percutaneous tracheostomies Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Respond promptly to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions Float to other critical care units (MICU, NSICU, CICU, CVICU, PCU) as needed Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards Ready to take your ICU nursing career to the next level?
