Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification for night shifts in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care hospital radiology - CT departmentPerforms all routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients, including trauma, cardiac CT, biopsy / drain, and ablation proceduresDepartment has 3 CT scanners : 1 GE REV CT and 2 GE REV HDUses Epic EMR and Sectra PACS; experience with Epic preferredAverage daily caseload is 65-70 scans across three scannersNight shift schedule : Monday through Thursday, 9 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM (10-hour shifts)Occasional floating to X-ray for ED, inpatient, or outpatient coverage may be requiredOptional call coverage with a 45-minute response timeResponsibilities include performing routine and advanced CT imaging along with supporting emergency and trauma casesRadiologist is onsite 24 / 7 for supportThe department is supported by an imaging supervisor and shift / modality lead techsThree-day department orientation provided at start of contractScrubs of any professional color permitted; hospital scrubs provided only for staff working in the ORHoliday coverage may be required if shift is scheduled on a holidayReturning employees must not have been employed by associated facilities within the past yearIV skills are highly valued for outpatient workRequirements
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a CT TechnologistCurrent BLS certification requiredActive ARRT RT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications requiredExperience with routine and trauma CT imaging requiredMust be able to start IVs for outpatientsProficiency with Windows computer software requiredExperience using Epic EMR and Sectra PACS preferredRadiation badge required prior to starting assignmentActive state or compact license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedCopy of driver’s license must be provided for considerationTwo professional references required : one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 yearsBenefits
