Job Description :

This classification level is responsible for providing oversight, coordination and general management of Supreme Court contracts and grants. Responsibilities may include writing grant applications and proposals; writing contracts for vendors and providers; developing standard contracts; reviewing contracts and agreements received from other entities; monitoring and ensuring contract compliance; and assisting in developing policies and procedures regarding contracts and grants.

Job Duties

  • Supervises staff, which includes : prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Manages and monitors the fulfillment of the contractual obligations, which includes : advising and supporting project managers throughout the contracting process.
  • Writes contracts, amendment, addendum, and memorandum of understanding.
  • Oversee the development and preparation of grant applications.
  • Manage and enhance procurement process, which includes assisting in developing policies and procedures for preparing requests, sending notices, selecting vendors, and making awards.
  • Monitors compliance with all grant processes and procedures are in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures regarding contracts and grants.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field; 3 years of contract or grant management experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

  • Coordinating grant activities;
  • Writing grant applications;

  • Managing grant budgets;
  • Interpreting and applying applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Applying and monitoring compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Using a computer and related software applications;
  • Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  • Physical Requirements :

    Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    Hiring Rate (during probation) : $75,746.52 per year

    Minimum Rate (after probation) : $77,640.17 per year
