Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and running laboratory experiments, analyzing test specimens, and performing various tasks related to materials selection and corrosion testing and analysis. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and run laboratory experiments.
• Analyze test specimens.
• Perform tasks on projects relating to materials selection and corrosion testing and analysis, including experimental setup, data collection, and data reporting.
• Inspect, test, repair, and install equipment.
• Develop the capability of working independently on project activities while performing work under the supervision of the project investigator.
• Assist more experienced technicians, technologists, and professionals on technical assignments.
• Follow the Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Assurance program on projects.
• Record research activities performed in lab book.
• Perform other duties as assigned such as solution preparation, cleaning test cells, moving items throughout the lab, and calibrating equipment (following a prescribed procedure).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00 / hr.
