Overview

After School Program Instructor at YMCA of Columbia-Willamette, Sherwood, OR. Part-time position.

What would you be doing?

  • Provide a safe environment for learning.
  • Implement curriculum for a variety of enrichment classes.
  • Establish good rapport with parents and participants.
  • Be a positive role model for youth in the program.
  • Collaborate with volunteers to lead delegation.
  • Transport equipment to and from school sites.

    • Requirements

  • Must pass YMCA background check
  • Availability Mon-Thursday between 2 : 00-5 : 00pm
  • Possess (or obtain within 90 days) a current CPR / AED & First Aid Certification
  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
  • Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate management techniques
  • Must have reliable transportation
