About The Position

Job Title : Rad Therapist

Profession : Radiology

Specialty : Clienttion Therapy

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday - Thursday, 8AM-5PM, Friday 8AM-12PM

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (Friday : 4 hours)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year; 2-5 years preferred

License : New Mexico Licensure

Certifications : Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Must-Have : Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) card

Description :

Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed according to established practices and standards.

Duties may include reviewing prescriptions and diagnoses.

Act as a liaison between providers and support staff.

Prepare equipment, such as immobilization devices, treatment devices, and protection devices.

Maintain records, reports, and files.

May assist in localization of tumors and dosimetry procedures.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and other related criteria appropriate for the assigned population.

Maintain required core competencies.

Comply with set policies and procedures.

Graduate of an accredited radiology program or equivalent required.

Two to five years of clinical experience preferred.

IMRT experience and LDR / HDR experience preferred.
