\nRegistered Respiratory Therapist - (RRT)\n

\nStartDate : 12 / 15 / 2025 \nAvailable Shifts : 12 D \nPay Rate : $1621.11 - $1776.32 \n

\nUnit Notes\nDepartment : Respiratory Therapist\n

  • 50 mile radius for all travelers
  • \n\n- # treatments per day : Average census is 60-110. It's hard to put a\nnumber to treatments per day as this changes from shift to shift\nand acuity. Not all patients receive treatments and some 2-3 per\nday.\n- Certs : Required- BLS Preferred- ACLS, PALS, NRP. RRT is highly\npreferred but with the right individual would take CRT as well.\n- Types of patients : Neonates, Pediatrics, and Adults\n- What areas do they cover : The therapists cover the whole facility : ER,\nICU, NICU, and other basic floors. traumas, codes. We are part of the\nRapid Response Team, Code Blue Team, and Trauma Team - travelers\nwill be expected to respond to these.\n- Experience : Ventilator, floor therapy, prefer neonatal acuity as well.\nNICU experience would be nice. Needs to be able to prioritize to\nmeet the ever-changing needs of the shift. Expected to know and\nunderstand assessments with the ability to treat. Good assessment\nskills. Wants them to be able to prioritize and not get flustered when\nhaving to stop floor therapies to go to the ER. Prefer travel\nexperience- want them to be able to hit the ground running. At least\n1 year of work experience- more would be nice.\n- Job Duties : If competency completed, the therapist can do ABGs but\nlab primarily does them - normally do not have travelers do ABGs\nOn nights and weekends will EKGs and limited Cardiac monitors.\nWe have various protocols as well that Respiratory is part of that we\ndo assessments throughout the shift.\n- Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently? : RTs only\nassist with intubation here.\n- Respiratory Manager? : We do have a Respiratory Supervisor that\nhelps with the schedule. Supervisor on days, no lead on nights right\nnow but have tenured staff that are able to help / answer questions.\nManager is available by phone if needed.\n- Shifts & Scheduling : 12 hour shifts 6-6 : 30. We try to let the therapist\nself-schedule as much as possible. We aim to let them do a block\nschedule of several shifts in a row within reason. There must be\nsome flexibility from the individual as we do have to ensure the\nschedule is complete. If it works they will try to accommodate.\n- Weekend Requirements : Every 6 weeks is typically 5 weekend shifts-\nthis may change with the need of the schedule.\n- Holiday Requirements : Two holiday shifts out of 4 holidays for\nSummer and Winter.\n- Call or standby call requirement? : There have been rare situations,\nbut we do not typically do call requirements.\n- Floating Requirements : Will cover assigned areas on shift- may have\nER and ICU.\n- Scrub Color / Dress Code : Solid color of your choice, no prints\n- RT Equipment : Medtronic 980 and 840 vents, Philips Esprit as well.\nWe have the V60+ Non-Invasive ventilation, Airvo 2, and various\nother devices.\n- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Hospitalists in house, we do work\nclosely with the Intensivist / Pulmonologist as well.\n- Department Specific Orientation : For travelers we typically try to do\na week and a half of orientation where they get into the systems of\nthe facility, and we go through our orientation book to ensure what\nthey need more training on. Usually will be on days for the first week\nand then move to nights for the rest of orientation being 1 of 3 RTs.\n\n

    Experience : 1 year

    Licenses : RT-NE(Copy needed)

    Certifications : RRT-National Board for Respiratory Care(Copy needed); BLS-AHA(Copy needed)

    Work History : Should not be more than 30 days of gap in entire work history

    References : 2 References in the last 12 months\n\n\n\n
