Position Description :
The Essential Piece Enterprises (EPE) Client Vocational Coach will provide one-on-one to 3 : 1, individualized support to EPE clients participating in the Workforce Development Programs on-site and at off-site workplace experiences. The Job Coach must be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills who is comfortable working directly with adult clients, Essential Piece staff, and leaders to integrate client experiences and support within the Essential Piece community and external community partnerships.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Task : Analyze clients' vocational duties within the job sites to support
- Engage in one-on-one coaching with clients to support daily and weekly vocational duties
- Provide individualized support to the clients to assist them in the development of vocational / employment skills (resume writing, job interviews, application completion, etc.).
- Work closely with Program Directors, Program Staff, and External Worksite Staff to help them understand the value of the support our Workforce Development program provides
- Collect data regarding student performance
- Assist clients in discovering and overcoming their barriers and setting goals
- Develop effective job coaching and employment plans
- Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions
- Train clients on interpersonal skills
- Serve to support behaviors on a day-to-day basis in the community, as well as on-site
Minimum Qualifications :
At least 3 years of experience working with clients with moderate to severe disabilitiesCompletion of or currently enrolled in a program for Education, OR Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or currently enrolled in a program preferred.Mastery and enthusiasm for best practices in autism education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Track record of success in behavior management with clients with autism or other special needsAbility to approach situations with optimism and perseveranceAbility to communicate with parents, co-workers, and professional contacts in a courteous and professional manner and following AZACS guidelinesAbility to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentialityExperience in structured teaching, center-based model preferredValid Arizona fingerprint clearance cardRequired :
Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance cardCurrent Arizona driver's license (must not be revoked, expired, or suspended)All Vocational job coaches are subject to taking and passing a 9-panel drug screening prior to driving the Company vanExperience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Benefits :
