Responsibilities :

The Assistant Nurse Manager, Progressive Care / Stroke Unit -B17, assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for the operation of the assigned unit. He / she combines clinical expertise with the application of leadership and nursing management principles to deliver high quality, cost-effective patient care and ensure satisfaction to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications :

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school. Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.

Must possess 5 years of experience in a similar setting / unit.

Evidence of progressive leadership responsibilities.

• Current and maintained clinical skills and knowledge to provide direct care for a caseload of patients as required.
• Assumes administrative responsibilities in the absence of the nurse manager and provides coverage for other colleagues.
• Working knowledge of cardiac rhythms to be able to assist with the cardiac monitor station.
