An independently owned New York-based real estate investment management firm is seeking a highly motivated Acquisitions Analyst to join it's Acquisitions Team to support its growing multifamily investment portfolios. The firm was established in 1969 and currently has $9.1 billion of institutional quality real estate assets under management on behalf of 124 domestic and international clients
The transactions team is responsible for property acquisitions and dispositions including reviewing market conditions, sourcing of new acquisition opportunities, preparing investment proposals for submission to Sentinel's Investment Committee and interfaces with the brokerage and principal communities.
Responsibilities : What You'll Do :
- Responsible for assisting in the underwriting of new acquisitions and assisting all other functions performed by the group including the preparation of sale materials and working with the team in any aspect of the transaction process.
- Complete underwriting files for each property that is approved for acquisition and work with Asset Manager and Portfolio Manager to prepare detailed operating projections for the proposed holding period including capital cost projections
- Assist in the preparation of preliminary projections for all properties that are being considered for acquisition
- Responsible for preparing detailed projections, schedules and investment proformas.
- Attend all due diligence meetings with the Acquisition Officer, management staff and third party engineers
- Assist with the completion of market and on site due diligence
- Monitor target markets and review potential investments
- Assist in the preparation of the detailed closing memorandum for each acquisition and sale

4 years of real estate investment / development, investment banking, or finance experienceFundamental knowledge and understanding of multifamily transactions and managementExperience underwriting ground-up multifamily development opportunities with waterfall structures as well as core / core-plus and value-add investment opportunitiesExceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build detailed financial models from scratch. Excel test will be required in the screening process.Strong analytical and writing skills.Effective business writing and communication skillsDemonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyBachelor's Degree
