We are looking for a Development Manager
The Development Manager will lead and mentor a team of software developers to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications. This role combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership capabilities to drive delivery of business value, promote best practices, and ensure high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives. The Development Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage development resources, and foster continuous improvement in development processes and team performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software applications using technologies such as PHP, Python, SQL, React, and AWS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure code quality and best practices through code reviews, unit testing, and automation frameworks.
- Manage planning, Agile ceremonies, and continuous delivery pipelines to meet deadlines and maintain product quality.
- Drive process improvements and adoption of modern development methodologies and tools.
- Monitor and report on team performance, project status, and risks to leadership.
- Coordinate with IT leadership on infrastructure, security, and cloud service strategies to support software development needs.
- Recruit, train, and retain high-performing developers.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to foster a cohesive engineering culture.
Requirements : Skills and Abilities
Strong software development expertise with proficiency in PHP, Python, SQL, React, and AWS cloud infrastructure.Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and agile software development methodologies.Experience with version control systems (e.g., git) and CI / CD pipelines.Proven leadership and people management skills, including coaching, conflict resolution, and team building.Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage technical challenges and deliver solutions effectively.Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s preferred. An additional 3 years of experience managing agile software development teams may be substituted for educational requirement.Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.At least 3 years of experience managing agile software development teams or projects.Experience working in agile environments and leading software development lifecycle.Familiarity with cloud services (AWS or similar) and microservices architecture preferred.You’ll join a company that works hard and supports one another — while doing work that truly matters.
