Position Summary
Special Educator with ABA Training will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing educational services based on Applied Behavior Analysis, functional assessment and analyses, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills.

Hourly rate of $100 / hr-$110 / hour with client during initial 12 week internal training

Provide direct 1 : 1 service with the client in the home or school setting based on case scheduleComplete established number of direct service hours based on caseloadComplete assessments, including the VB-MAPP, AFLS, SKILLS, and FBAsWrite reports as led by assessment, including treatment plans, and behavior intervention plansContinually analyze skill acquisition and behavior reduction dataDevelop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans as needed for treatment goals, including, but not limited to creating programs and stimuliProvide parent training as approved by funderActively seek parent and / or client feedback regarding programming and therapy goalsCollaborate with client’s related service providers, teachers, and school administration with respectSubmit written and digital reports and invoices within established timelines via in-house Provider Point systemProvide services consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, and valuesActively participate in opportunities for staff training and educationRespectfully collaborate with client’s related service providers, teachers, and school administration as neededRequirements : Position Qualifications
Master’s degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related human services fieldNew York State Special Education CertificationFormal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies, training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders, their parents, and other agencies working with clientAbility to demonstrate competence in behavior management skills, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relationsAbility to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal directionKnowledge and experience in developing and implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans for individuals with challenging behaviorKnowledge and experience in developing and implementing skill acquisition plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and one or more of the age groups served by MPGKnowledge of DTT programming and implementationKnowledge of naturalistic ABA programming and implementationFlexible availability and ability to respond quickly to phone calls, text messages, and emailsSuccessful completion of employee training as required by lawParticipation in ongoing in-house training and required professional developmentPosition Disclaimer
