Locations : New York, NY | Boston, MA

An international AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a talented mid-level Associate Attorney to join its leading Real Estate Practice Group in either New York or Boston . This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate transactions across a wide variety of asset classes and client types, including institutional investors, REITs, and real estate funds.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record .
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing.
  • 4–5 years of substantive experience in complex real estate transactions .
  • Experience with acquisitions , dispositions , construction and permanent financings (representing both lenders and borrowers ), and joint ventures .
  • Familiarity with portfolio transactions , REITs , and real estate fund structures .
  • Strong background in equity joint venture investments , structuring , and entity formation .
  • Exposure to transactions involving multiple asset types , including residential, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and land.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of real estate transactions , including acquisitions , dispositions , financings , joint ventures , and portfolio transactions .
  • Structure and negotiate equity joint venture agreements and entity formations.
  • Work with clients across diverse asset classes, including residential , commercial , industrial , hospitality , and mixed-use developments .
  • Manage multiple deal components , ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in tax, corporate, and litigation groups to provide comprehensive solutions to clients’ business and legal challenges.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Competitive Salary : $260,000 – $310,000 , commensurate with experience and class year.

    Discretionary merit bonus eligibility .
