Traffic Clerk 1 - 2nd Shift

We are looking for an energetic Traffic Clerk for our 2nd shift in Hayward, CA.  The starting pay is $22.50+ / hr. which includes a starting base pay of $21 / hr. and an additional $1.50 / hr. for working the swing shift.  This is a full-time position that starts at 12 : 30 PM.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY :    (Summary of job duties)

Responsible for verifying and maintaining records on outgoing and incoming shipments.  Requires documents to be prepared timely and accurately.  Performs a variety of manual checking, summarization, reconciliation, data entry and analysis of data involved in the accurate processing of inventory movements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee shipping & Receiving activities to ensure documentation is timely, accurate and complete.
• Review and register all orders in a timely manner.
• Check carriers in & out according to the company guidelines.
• Comply with the UPS / FedEx and incoming package company guidelines.
• Review all documentation and Prepare bill of lading for all outbound orders.
• Post all outbound orders in a timely manner.
• Scan all outbound BOL’s into designated area.
• Prepares pick tickets & load documents for future shipments and runs necessary reports.
• Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with designated personnel.
• Verify Incoming Loads for documentations for completeness and compliance with company’s receiving procedures.
• Reconcile orders with driver manifests ensuring all orders go our correct.
• Coordinate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and receiving documentations prior to data entry and posting.
• Ensure accuracy of all data entries by reviewing edit-posting report prior to actual posting in the system.
• File and update all Outbound and Inbound orders in designated area.
• Conduct yearly document archiving and place in designated area for safekeeping.
• Resolve questionable entries on every item prior to data entry.
• Adhere to company attendance and punctuality policy.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
• Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information.
• Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

Must be experienced working with computers and have the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions.  Must be able to speak and communicate in English.  Must be able to do basic functions of additions, multiplications, divisions, percent (%) and decimal conversions with or without the use of calculator and / or computer.  Must be able to analyze reasonableness of transactions prior to data entry and posting.  Must be able to exercise good judgment when necessary, with minimum supervision.  Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload.   Must be able to work independently and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and organization.

PACIFIC CHEESE REQUIRED TRAINING :   (Required training not desired)

In addition to the following, all new employees are required to attend New Employee Orientation.

Navision, Excel and Microsoft Word.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

High School diploma or GED. Must have at least two to four years' experience related to the above qualifications.

Stand Up Forklift Experience is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment.    Heavy phone and computer work. There also may be times you will be working the warehouse atmosphere where the temperature is as low as 32 degrees, low environmental temperature levels.  Requires standing for long periods of time, frequent lifting of material up to 50 pounds and frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
