Construction Project Manager – Commercial / Public Works (DSA Preferred)

Compensation : $150,000 – $180,000 base + performance bonus + full benefits

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee mid- to large-scale commercial and public works projects ranging from $5M to $50M+. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading full-cycle construction efforts — from preconstruction through close-out — while maintaining client confidence and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of project delivery — budget control, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality, and safetyLead RFIs, submittals, OAC meetings, and overall project documentationCoordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and public agencies (DSA, OSHPD, city officials, etc.)Drive field performance, mentor superintendents, and ensure trade partner accountabilityOversee cost forecasting, change orders, and pay applications with attention to detail and transparencySupport business development and preconstruction efforts by reviewing plans, budgets, and schedulesEnsure compliance with DSA and public contract requirements when applicableQualifications
Minimum 7+ years of project management experience with a General ContractorStrong background in commercial, civic, or public works construction (DSA experience strongly preferred)Skilled with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project / P6Excellent communication and leadership skills — ability to build trust with owners and field teamsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferredProven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced project environmentsCompensation & Benefits
