This is a remote position.
Basic Function :
Work as part of multi-disciplinary team to conduct Research and Development (R&D) tax credit consulting services. Duties include leading Client interviews and discussions, assessing applicability of tax benefits, calculating tax savings, preparing supporting documentation and reports, performing technical research at federal and state levels, and developing knowledge of R&D applications by industry.
Position’s Intention : The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the R&D department, ensuring that the team is managed and performing efficiently and effectively as business goals are met.
Success Measurements : Client satisfaction, annual goals obtained, audits minimized by vigilant adherence to IRS requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS : Strong analytical, planning and problem solving capabilities
Interpersonal and soft skills that motivate trust, teamwork and transparency
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision required
Advanced Excel skills
Education / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or related field, Attorney or LLM in Taxation preferred or
Certification : Seven (7) years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and management experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to write reports, business correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Reasoning ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
computer SKILLS : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, PDF editing software
