JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Freezer Forklift Operator 1 2nd Shift
Position Reports To : Warehouses Supervisor
FLSA Status : Hourly
- This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation time after 90 days
- Monday – Friday 4 : 30pm - 1 : 30am January-April
- 4 : 30pm-4 : 30am (Saturdays Possible) May-December

Position Purpose Summary : Perform necessary freezer warehouse duties to ensure product is moved, stored and shipped safety and efficiently.
Principal Job Responsibilities :
Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholdersAdhere to all Food Safety and GMP PoliciesVerify pallets, packaging and report any damageEnsure and verify load count at the time of pullingEnsure product is safely put away and pulled from racks.Responsible to inspect inbound product (no broken pallets, no damaged product & proper labeled)Maintain a constant communication with supervisor on where the production needs to be put away (participate in freezer projections)Clearly complete the load requirement documents when pulling loadsExcellent communication with your related departments (Shipping and receiving, Repack / resort and production drivers)Maintain cleanliness in the put away and prep load aisles (pick up any type of debris)Ensure trailer temperature is correctEnsure to maintain a sufficient amount of product on production lines (avoid any down time).Knowledge of customer requirementsDaily inspection of your equipmentConduct physical inventoriesIdentify scanner errorsEnsure to have your communication device (two-way radio)Ensure labels are correct (part number, weight and quantity)Review the unplaced report with your supervisorBasic training booklets from all departments.30 days basic training must be completeAssign to a department after the 30-day basic trainingShipping and ReceivingAble to haul and load a regular 28 tote load in 75 minutesAble to haul and load 28 pallets slip sheet load in 2 ½ hoursAble to do a 28-pallet load delivery in 105 minutes unload, inspect, label and stage load into the freezer.Placement Production / Prep LoadsAble to haul and place into freezer racks 28 pallets double stack in 80 minutes.Able to pull and inspect a 28-tote load in 65 minutes (low difficulty)Able to pull and inspect a 28-tote load in 85 minutes (medium difficulty)Able to pull and inspect a 28-tote load in 95 minutes (high difficulty)Freezer Repack & Freezer ResortAble to run a repack or resort line at 28 totes in 135 minutes (picked product, hauled in and out and placed it into racks)This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Broad knowledge and experience in forklift operationsAbove average skills in warehouse knowledge; attendanceExcellent skills in communication; addition, subtraction; attention to details; sense of urgency; accuracy; time management and teamwork.Demonstrated ability to operate a scanner, computer, hand tools (seal cutter) and forklift, identify trailer type (size, spread or regular axle); work in other departments (repack room, production, shipping and receiving and repack / resort); work with limited supervision; read, write, speak EnglishGeneral knowledge of forklift, pallet jack & reach truckOther : excellent customer service skillsEducation and Experience :
Years of Experience : 6 months or greaterSpecialized training in Forklift Certification on It’s Up To You, PE4500, SC4500, RM6000 & RD5200Other : valid driver’s licenseHigh School Diploma / GED Equivalent, preferredPhysical Demands of the Position :
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, reach with arms and hands, stoop, crouch and lift in excess of 50 lbs. Vision abilities required by this job include color recognition and attention to detail. This job may require working a minimum of 10 hours per shift with the flexibility to extend working hours as required.Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Extended periods of physical vibration and moderate to high noise levels are normal.
