About The Position

Job Title : FLOAT POOL RN - ICU & ED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

License : Must have state / compact license in hand

Certifications : ACLS required

BLS required

PALS required

NIH and TNCC preferred

Must-Have :

Experience in critical care settings including ICU and ED

Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs

Description :

The position requires a FLOAT POOL RN with ICU and ED experience.

The nurse will be part of a float pool, responding to needs across various units.

Patient ratios are 1 : 2.

First-time travelers are accepted if relevant experience is adequate.

Every other weekend commitment is required.

Certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.

Rapid response team participation may be necessary.

Staffing includes interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Special procedures such as para / thoracentesis, intubation, and central line placement are required skills.

Care may involve managing ventilated patients and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Additional skills include arterial line management and obtaining 12 lead EKGs.

The unit population spans adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with varied diagnoses.

All certifications and licensure specified in the job description must be submitted for consideration.
