Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy technician role is available that offers exposure to long-term care and mail order pharmacy settings, providing a valuable opportunity to hone specialized skills within these areas. This position is ideal for candidates who possess active pharmacy technician credentials and are comfortable working a mid-shift schedule in a dynamic environment.

Location : Knoxville, TN

Type : Contract (8 weeks)

Schedule :

Monday to Friday : 10 AM 7 PM or 11 AM 8 PM
Rotating weekends : 8 AM 6 PM

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately prepare and dispense medications for long-term care and mail order patients

Manage prescription processing in compliance with Tennessee state regulations

Support pharmacy operations including inventory management and quality assurance

Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care

Maintain meticulous documentation and recordkeeping

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

Valid Tennessee pharmacy technician license required

Previous pharmacy technician experience mandatory

Experience in long-term care (LTC) or mail order pharmacy settings strongly preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload efficiently

Ability to work scheduled shifts, including some rotating weekends
