Storybrook Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and well versed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to add to our in-house therapy team for our midsize facility situated in Northern Colorado, amongst Larimer County. This building is home to a diverse group of long-term residents, cared for by seasoned staff with low staffing ratios, who are stewarded by a well-equipped clinical team and Administrator with years of experience in the geriatric field.

Schedule : Full Time Nights, Part Time, PRN – All Shifts
Pay : $18 – 27 / Hour Depending on Experience

JOB SUMMARY :
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll support patient care by delivering treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, documenting progress, maintaining the therapy area, participating in care conferences, collaborating with the healthcare team, and educating families and staff on maintenance programs—all while helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
JOB DUTIES :
Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
Record treatments given and progress notes in medical record
Assist in maintaining department
Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area
Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
Record treatment charges per the facility policy and procedures
Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
This position is open to therapists at all experience levels
Must possess a sincere desire to serve the elderly
Ability to fluently read, write and speak the English language
Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
Desired Skills :
Exhibits a sincere desire to help patients and residents in their rehabilitation process
Superior interpersonal communication skills
Strong writing skills required for documentation of the care you provide
Exhibits knowledge and understanding of therapy practice
Possesses and conveys high degree of credibility and integrity
Enjoys team cohesion, is a team player, has a positive attitude and a strong desire to make a constructive impact on organizational excellence
Understands and accepts the unpredictable nature and needs of the therapy function in a busy rehab department
