Department\n\nNURSING FACILITY - 556150\n\nWorker Sub Type\n\nRegular\n\nWork Shift\n\nPay Grade\n\n114\n\nJob Description\n\nUnder the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs routine personal care duties for residents / patients. Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems. Supports the Valley Health System (VHS) mission and vision. May act as a preceptor in the orientation of new CNA's.\n\nEducation\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\n\nCertification & Licensure\n\nRegistered by the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide is required. Must be listed on the relevant Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide in Virginia and / or West Virginia based on work location(s) within VHS.\n\nBLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved is required.
