Overview

A local Hilton Head Island hotel and resort is looking to hire a Senior System Administrator on a full-time direct hire basis.

The company is able to provide relocation assistance for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Admin and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers in a primarily on-premises environment, including backups and disaster recovery planning.
  • Lead system upgrades and patching, and implement system security protocols.
  • Support network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention, and endpoint protection.
  • Provide support for multiple Point of Sale systems, electronic door and locking systems, and maintenance and monitoring of resort security camera systems.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities : 100% hands-on managing and maintaining IT needs for the resort, covering systems, servers, network, some physical security cameras, door lock systems, and POS support.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or System Administration roles
  • Strong experience with Windows, workstations and servers
  • Experience supporting and managing IP-based security camera systems and video management software
  • Experience supporting network security systems and tools
  • PowerShell and / or Bash scripting for automation and maintenance tasks

    • Desired Skills & Experience

  • Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco)
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field
