Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

Financial reporting and analysis.

Daily cash management activity.

Create tax pairings using Avalara tax software as needed (Sales, discretionary, local, county, CST, excise etc.).

Calculate adjustments on accounts for customers’ refunds.

Process and maintain tax exemptions for customers.

Budgeting and variance analysis.

Routine account reconciliations.

Special Project Billings.

Maintain documentation for procedures and processes

Support Billing Specialist and ensure timely completion of goals and financial close responsibilities.

Contribute to various projects working with minimal supervision, including aiding other departments and team members, as directed.

Qualifications – The ideal candidate will demonstrate :

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and integrated accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Macros / VBA, PivotTables, and complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems and databases.
• Strong interest in contributing to departmental goals.
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary and cloud-based software.
• Willingness to improve existing processes.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to explain complex situations in simple terms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision in an accurate and organized fashion.
• Proactive team player with mentoring and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
• Collaborative and flexible approach to working across departments.
• Professional demeanor and representation of the company.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills (i.e., sub-ledgers to general ledger).
• Subscription billing system expertise including best practices.
