Responsibilities Position is based in a Level I Trauma emergency department Work with a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatric patients Shift schedule is 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Role may require floating to related units as needed Position involves performing a full range of radiology procedures as ordered Duties include performing high quality radiology procedures, following established protocols and safety standards Communicate and instruct patients and families to ensure understanding of procedures Maintain and operate radiologic equipment and report issues as needed Adhere to infection control and sterile technique protocols during procedures Proper documentation and maintenance of medical imaging records is expected May be required to serve as a preceptor for new staff or on new services Scrub color of choice is allowed except denim Returning travelers who were previously permanent employees must have their eligibility verified prior to consideration Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting Active ARRT and TMB certifications, and American Heart Association BLS required Current Texas license required if applicable Experience in a high-acuity, trauma-level environment is required Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season with no exemptions Two professional references are required for consideration Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626666.
